help with replacing u joint rear shaft

Hi i need to replace a rear u joint on my 2014 650 outlander. Do i need to remove the rear diff to get the drive shaft off. Any advice would be great thanks

I took the 4 bolts out of the diff and slid it back some and the slip yoke on the shaft falls off. first tale a 14 or 15mm gear wrench (I forget) and take the pinion nut off the diff. then you should be able to take the fixed yoke, u joint and slip yoke out of the bike and replace the u joint on the bench. be sure to line you slip yoke up rite
