Iam looking at getting an HMF performance slip on for my 07 500xt. Am I able to run this pipe stock or will I have to get a programmer. Don't want to tear anything up.

On the 500 it won't change much you can run it without a programmer. I always retune a bike if I make a change. You always want it running top notch. It's a hmf performance slip on that's on our 640 big bore in the video....

I've heard that those tears run rich from the factory. I just don't want to run it lean and tear something up.

1000 XTP with an HMF slip on and no programmer. No problems, plugs are good, no backfiring. I do t believe all the hype about fuel programmers. Nice sound for cheap, end of story.

Reading spark plugs today is nearly impossible with all the current fuel additives. To read the plugs you need to cut them apart, its not a 2 stroke engine.

Lots of experts on this subject with little knowledge, so just ask an expert on this. I'm not the expert…..
