I used the frame mounted bracket on the right side just behind the side panel.

Pretty sure a fuse is mounted there

 

I bought the winch from a Can Am Dealer, but it did not come with a mounting bracket. Unfortunately i have spent hours trying to find a place to put the relay and cannot seem to locate a spot for it.

 

there is probably a way to do it, but this is exactly why I bought an XT....

There is a spot like someone stated above behind the right wheel plastics there's a little bracket there that you can mount it to works perfect.

 

exactly what Jorge says. There is a bracket, on the right hand side, just behind the panel. that's where mine is. I had mine put on after I had purchased the 570 Max.

 

To the original poster, just to clarify. There is no bracket needed to mount the winch. The mounting holes for the winch already exist on the quad.

Yeah sorry like Jorge said, it's not a bracket per say, but a little spot with holes already there. I just installed a superwinch lt4000 on my 570 and that's where I mounted mine.

 

There is a nice cubby right behind the battery under the seat on my 570 where I placed the relay.

 

Sorry about the hijack, but how much synthetic rope will the Warn winch hold? I want to change out the cable. Any rope recommendations?

 

I know on my fathers 570 we replace the standard cable with 50 foot synthetic rope with no issues.

 

It will easily hold 50 feet of synthetic. I went up a size in synthetic to 1/4" and put in 40 feet and I likely could have stayed with 50 feet without any problem whatsoever.

I am starting to think I should have just paid the dealer to put it on.

 

What is the issue that you have with mounting the relay?
why not just drill a hole in the frame and mount it with a screw wherever it fits the best with the wire length etc?
or just use heavy duty tie wraps and tie it to anything solid with a few strong tie wraps or a stainless collar?

 

I may have misunderstood you. I mounted my four post terminal where I stated before behind plastics on right side front. My relay I installed on the outside of rear storage box. I would have installed inside rear storage but wire wasn't long enough

Wrong bracket. The one you want is behind the side panel near where your right leg would be
