Jerky in low speeds

2011 commander 1000

Hi all, just got a question. When my commander is at low speed say less then 7 or 8 klm/ hour, its jerky when moving. Other than that it is so smooth as anything. Got any answers or is this normal? Could it be that I haven't done a service on the one way bearing, about 2900klms...I know I am soon going to get it done. Not sure if it's related or not but sometimes when it is in placed in high she can grind but only in high. Sometimes it's a little stiff getting in gear...meaning moving the gear selector. The selector was checked out nothing bent and in alignment, actually done twice. If I give the gas slow when starting I rarely hear it. I bought it used with 1400klms on it and I got another 1500 on it since May, so if it was really serious then I would have trouble by now. Also, the one way bearing service would take care of the grinding, I assume there is pressure on the belt causing it to not get in gear fully or something like that.

Sounds like the belt is flat spotted if I had to take a wild stab and guess. Every time you feel the jerk you are hitting the flat spot of the belt. you dont feel it at higher speeds because the belt is prolly being pinched at a different position then in low speeds. . easiest way to be said that is.

Pretty hard to physically see a small imperfection in a belt that can cause a jerkyness. have to measure with calipers device. Like I said though there could be other things causing it just that is the most common.

Definately belt. Buddy has an outlander that does nothing but pull cars into his garage all day long and it was doing this. Changed his belt and 100% fixed. Took out a micrometer to see if there was a thin spot in the belt and I found one spot was thinner but was very minimal. You could definatly feel it tho.
