Led tailights

I put led 1157 taillights in my 2013 outlander since incandescent got to hot and melted my lenses some. The driver side light is working perfectly fine however the passenger side is dim and also doesn't work when the brake is switched. I know from reading it is a diode issue. My question is which wire for the bulb socket gets the diode and what type of diode do I need?

Some of the Chinese led bulbs you have to put the metal tabs in the proper position. I have had some were they were wrong from factory
Cant be a bad ground. I pulled out the old incandescent in perfect working order than put in the leds.
Not sure about the G-2's but the G-1's are positive ground & LED's are polarity sensitive and will not function without an adapter .
Maybe their the same ?
Okay. It fixed itself overnight so all is okay now. I just checked it again. The g2's can take regular led bulbs
Hopefully it stays fixed for ya
