limp home mode ... okay when fuel runner unplugged

Hey guys. Today I was just riding and my renegade 1000 went into limp home mode I let it sit for a while and it wouldn't start. Unplugged the ground for the fuel controller and it started up ran a bit rough at first but after it cleared up all the extra fuel It ran good for a long time couldnt get it act up. I decided to plug in the fuel controller again. It started up and idled good, Within one throttle snap and 10 feet it was falling on its face in limp mode and would stall. It was idling very low 600-800 rpm. So I unplugged the controller again and it ran fine. I can smell fuel out the exhaust so I dont think it has to do with injectors. It is a 2013 1000 xxc and has get torqued competition duals on it.
The check engine light was flashing. I am thinking it is a controller or a week plug. I am thinking plug is not igniting all the extra fuel in the cylinder or controller is dumping in extra fuel into the cylinder. I havent touched the tune since it was dyno tuned. Just wondering what you guys feel could cause this issue. Thanks for the help!!! Appreciate any comments and advice.

Sounds exactly like the two Digituners that failed on me. They had a large number of controllers with junk boards in them, and would often fail right out of the box or very shortly after. Doyou have a warranty on yours? If so its time to send it in.
Is digi tunner the same as dolbec. as for warrenty I am not sure I will try to contact my supplier today. Dolbec tuner I think is the name of the tuner in it I would have to re-check. I have been running it for about 300 km. It seems to have had a miss fire and exhaust was a different colour and stinked of fuel as well. but like I said second I diconnected the ground on that tunner it was fine.
Dobeck or dolbec? Ive never heard of dolbec, but the Digituner is essentially a rebadged Dobeck controller. It really sounds to me like yours is toast, provided all your connections are clean and tight.
