Lost the screen for my BRP snorkel kit.

Hey guys, I have the kit on my 1000 XT and somehow the screen went MIA. And my dealer is telling me that they can't get any parts for this kit. Any idea what to do? I really don't want stuff getting into the snorkels..

you could try calling or emailing BRP directly, next option would be to buy the extension kit for the XMR that's just the raised horn and screen. part number 715002518

the screen on my kit seemed to fit pretty loose, I put some silicon on the 2 tabs of the screen and let it sit for a day and its been fine for over a year now
I noticed mine has been loose also.. I think I better try the silicon trick to before I loose mine..
snorkel filter

I used a metal gutter guard inserted and clamped with a hose clamp. Over that I have a filter type bag. The metal screen stops it from being sucked into the intake (which happened at full throttle when I first put the socks on) .

Got any pics?
Some people sell screens or snorkels that are mesh but somehow water just rolls off them. Do your research though; some restrict airflow a whole lot.

YES. I remember playing with Frogskin and Florites years ago with my big bore carbed mud machine....the screens required 10 jet sizes smaller to run right: WAY LESS AIR FLOW. I take those screens and hurl them. The airbox has an air filter in it and the CVT is a belt and clutches....unless you throw rocks in there, I've never had an issue running open snorkels.
Make sure you remove the metal piece behind the shield I had a few bikes roll and dislodge the metal support and the sucked it through the cvt and cause some problems.

Too late. It hammered a bunch of holes in my clutch cover and gouged the hell out of the clutches haha

Bugger the one it happened to with us punched a hole in the cover and caused the belt to leak we had only just had the cover of and changed the belt so of course the customer blamed us until we found this little item hiding in behind the clutch cover.
