Is it true the bike will start to derate power the long the message stays on?

Never heard of that before so it must be untrue.

Me either someone said it on can am monsters so I figured I'd ask

It's just a reminder. No derating of power. Just annoying. Mines been on for 6000 Kms or so.....don't even see it any more.
