Its gonna cost me an Oak Dinning room table and chairs. Nothing is free in this world lol. BTW I Insisted she make the decision so it would not be pulled out of the "Pearl Harbor" file in the future! lol.

I had a bunch of friends that test drove these at Fishers ATV reunion and everyone of them liked them but said they steer like a tank and need power steering badly. I was on the fence but now am going to wait to see if BRP puts it in...They went as far as saying they are almost undrivable for any extended time unless you are really moving. I was worried about the steering when I saw they had no PS. It will come prolly in '13. BRP has no plans to include it for '12.

I was one of those people and I will say the steering was not easy on the cource. It seems that there is a 50/50 opinon on it. Being that these are pre production Demos, its quite possiable that some of them are hard to steer and some are not. In any event Power steering will be the first major mod I do on mine. I have it on my Woodsbuggy and there is no going back now lol. I can zip thru the tight trails with one hand and drive all day without getting tired. Before PS the steering wheel was getting ripped out of my hands all the time and had to rest every few hours.

Every modern Woman has one. I mean really how many times have you had a discussion and when they have absolutly no defence to the question out comes the 5 year old "FILE" that you do not remember and now are confused and have no defence! See how that works? Hope my wife is not reading this. It will be another entry!

Def not the ease of steering my RZRs with a plus 8 , one finger and know fatigue . I am sure this will be fixed by the time they come out with the 4 seater to follow RZRs new 1000 coming next year . Can beat the power of the Rotax and its just the beginning of the power race for UTV Company's . The potential of this motor is off the hook , if the snow mobiles Can Am are getting 130 H out of there motors stock i see great things coming for super fast cars in the near future .

I took the "X" for it's maiden Voyage over the weekend. In one word Impressive. I have been driving a full size Woods Buggy with a much larger stance and thought that the Commander would not compare. Well I was able to keep up with my Buddy in his Woodsbuggy with out a problem. We typicaly ride extreme rocky trails with steep Rocky hill climbs and this machine went every were the Buggys went. Climbs like a billy goat. It did take much of the first day to unlearn my normal riding style with the Buggy and learn the Commanders traits. I keep reaching for the Cutter brakes that were not there lol. They are totally different machines to drive. I will say the smaller package did allow me to maneuver is tigher places than my Buggy and that was a plus. Some of the Good: Fast, responsive, powerful, confortable, plenty of storage and it keeps you pretty dry in the mud and water. The Engine braking on this machine is excellant. When in low 4 wheel drive it will crawl down steep hills without using the brakes. The Bad: The machine does bounce you around a lot. I did adjust the supension and that helped. Still needs more Shock tuning. Hopefully I can dial the bounce out. I am sure it also has a lot to do with the smaller stance. It needs more ground clearence for were I ride. I hit bottom a lot. Good thing I had full Skids. The Commander definatly needs Power steering for my style of riding. I don't like that you have to stop to change the Low/High gear range and use the 2/4 wheel drive switch. The side nets and seat belts suck. The nets need to be replaced with doors and the seat belts need to be replaced with 5 point harness's. Removing the seats is a pain, they get all tangled up in the nets. Overall It is a very nice machine. The jurys still out on if it will replace the Woodsbuggy. Maybe I will just keep them both lol.

I picked up some more of the accessaries I had on order this past weekend. Rear Bumper, Winch mount, headlight protectors (lots of rocks where I ride), Locking gas cap, lower trunch lock and the best part Unisteer Electric power steering unit. BTW I have worked out a deal with a vender to get the Unisteer at a better price if I can get enough guys together.
