Messages keep appearing

Hey, it's been a while since I've been on here, but I keep getting messages popping up on my speedometer's display.

Maintenance Soon
High Speed

Both of these come up when I first turn it on, in that order. They cycle through twice and then stop.
Does the computer log when the bike goes over a certain speed, and then demand maintenance afterwards?
I mean, I did get it up to about 72mph once or twice, but that was over a year ago, and I don't recall the message coming up until just a couple months ago when I was out climbing hills just before the snow all melted...
Do I need to get a service tech to clear the messages, or is there a way I can get rid of them myself?
