Get the X and add a winch, not a expensive warn but aftermarket.

 

Don't waste time with an or xt get the limited, you'll get all that you need right off the bat, plus you get to own a mean gps, and an amzing riding machine. Had the same dilema before I purhcased my ltd. and I do not regret it at all.

 

the ltd is about 5k more than the xt where i live. i like the xt bc of the bumper and winch. almost got the x but the rock sliders have to be cut to ol2's with a 2" lift. plus it comes with 14" wheels so i didnt have to buy bigger wheels to run the ol2's. i liked that the x came with fox shocks but its too heavy to jump so the better shocks wasnt a deal breaker for me.

 

how would the base commander do in mud with out the qe, my ren1000 is a base model it does fine would like to run 28 or 30 in mayhem's on the commander.would building a mudder out of a base model be a wast of $$$

 

Yes it would be a waste of time. If you're gonna run 29.5s or bigger, plan on replacing an axle after every ride in the front. The 3wd **** sucks. I plan on trading my xt in on a rzr900

 

what make's you not like the xt enough to trade to rzr?
