Need advise Outlaw 29.5 tires or 28

Gang looking at some 29.5 laws for my 650 max. Im new on the Outlaw scene. Maybe the 28 law, but hear I should go 29.5 not sure. Not sure which one to go with the outlaw original or outlaw 2. I would like to keep stocks rims but realize it may not be the best choice.
I will be doing say 60%mud and 40%trail hatfld wv. And 90%mud at home.

Also if there is a perfect rim based on high ratings/reviews please advise. Oh and best discounted place to buy this stuff lol
thanks gang :thumbsmilie:

lol lets try this agaiin . I've been reading all day and it looks like I have it narrowed down to 29.5x9.5x14 all corners. Still not sure on OGs or the OL2??? Anywhere to get these lightly used or someone just switching out?? Anybody there.....
Unless theyve recently changed only the outlaw 2 come in 14" rim in 29.5, and id suggest wide rears but thats up to you
ok still thinking on this one
Great choice in my opinion
I usually ride 28x10x12 silverbacks on STI Beadlocks on and just moved up to 29.5x10x12 outlaws on STI Beadlocks and love them. And the 500 turns them great. Cheers

thanks guys. Im stuck right at 28 OL2 or 29.5 OG hmmmm...Anyone think the 28OL2 is ALOT better trail rider? that may persuade me
The original 29.5 outlaws are much lighter, but rougher riding, than the new 29.5 OL2. As stated above the originals come only for a 12" wheel, whereas the OL2 you are looking at is for 14" wheels. Both pull great in the mud and neither will disappoint. Looks wise I love the OL2s and 14" wheels. For clutching/loss of power reasons I prefer the lighter originals on 12" wheels. And as noted above, its all preference, but i prefer the skinny/wide combo instead of all skinny.

awesome FRN. I like the idea of the 29.5x10x12. I wanna get muddy but not tear this thing all to pieces. What rim series seems best for these?

STI HD Beadlocks about 15lb, very strong, clean out well and a good price for bead locker safety. Between my friends and I we have 5 sets with zero issues. RMATV for the win. Cheers

those beadlocks are more than I wanna spend! look great tho. what kind of OFFSET do i need? Any other good options
I ran 29.5 OG skinny Laws mounted on all four corners of my 1000. I ran the MSA 12x7 Elixers...they are 4x3 offset. just had to install some spring spacers to keep the front fenders from rubbing.
