Hello, I have a new 500 XT two up with less then half hour on it. I noticed a noise coming from the left side when I start off, Kind of a clunking noise when I start off. From the sounds of it I'm thinking it's the clutch slapping the belt.if that is what it is then can anyone tell me is that a common thing to expect Or should I be looking closer? It does seem to be coming from the left side.
Thanks for any ideas/comments!
Does it sound like this? If so, I'm told its normal, something to do with the helix in the secondary. There is like 3 miles on my outty 800 when I took this vid.
Bought my new 2015 Outlander 650 XT last week. The dealer had put 30 minutes on it after taking it out the box they said to make sure everything was in good running order. So of course after picking it up and bringing it home, I was riding it around the yard and heard this. I had started worry, thinking WTF. I figured it was something with the belt. Glad to find this thread and see that its normal. Thanks for posting video.
