Just wondering what everyone suggests for upgrades to a base machine? I've already added the radiator splash guards, moose hand guards, and a home made plastic skid. What should be my next upgrade? Clutch kit? Exhaust? Do I need a tuner if I buy a slip in exhaust? What's the best all around performance tire? I'd like something a tad more aggressive but not full blown tractor treads?

I've done a highlifter 2" lift kit with 28" Mudlites. Others hate the Mudlite, but I personally love them for all around trail/mud. They've been fantastic. I hate mud riding personally, but due to flooding in our area, there are allot of washouts and the Mudlites can crawl through everything I've tried without spinning. I'm fixing to make a set of rear inner cv guards as the base model has nothing to protect them. Other than lighting, I've left everything else alone. I get some belt slippage in high range if I have to do any kind of climbing with the 28's, but low range performs flawlessly. I'm planning a vacation, so a new clutch setup is out for now, but would probably be a great addition to stop the high range belt slip. I've got about 13.5" of ground clearance and it goes where I have the need to go. I may look at upgrading to the XMR CVT exhaust in the near future as well. The bike floats, but any lean to the left gets water into the cvt exhaust. I'll probably make some radiator splash guards as you've done as well. Once the warranty expires, I'll do the fan over ride too.

Why make the splash guards when you can buy them from BRP for about $30 for the pair. Also need 8 snap pins. They snap right in provided holes. Can be removed easily for cleaning the rad area if necessary.
I have them on my 2016 450 Outlander L Max DPS.
I have 26" AMX Slingshots(DOT approved) and like them so far.
Far more grip than the factory tires but also far noisier.
Mudguards are a good addition.
To me a winch is a good precaution.

Upgrades on outlander L

I've done a few mods on my 2015 outlander L 500, same bike overall. . The Dalton industries clutch kit was installed last fall, and for 77$ Canadian plus shipping, it was well worth the little coin. Also got the brp mud guards, and metal foot pegs which hold your boots in place well when it gets slippery. I also ordered and installed some led bulbs that I found on ebay from formula J-87. I made them an offer and got them for 40$ plus 10$ shipping to Canada, and they are nice! You need hs1 type bulbs, but when you get them they'll say h4....hs1 is just a lower powered h4, being led they're already lower powered, so no worries there.
