new light switch

Has anyone just gone ahead and hard wired in the high beam headlights and put it on another switch? My highs have broke on me 4 times now and am lookig for a more permanent fix

Sure someone has but I can't recall any threads here about it. Several threads on repairing the high beam switch. Personally, I would add a relay to reduce the current passing through the switch, in fact I should do that before I have any problems with mine.
