I have always been a die Polaris addict. I am or was in the market for a new UTV, I have a friend who had a Polaris Ranger 1000 Northstar. He had a bunch of driveline issues from the get go. My cousin has a friend whose Ranger has been in the shop non stop. Polaris Rangers just seen to be troublesome. Yep they all have issues.

I have been looking at the Defender 1000 Limited. My dealer is getting the unit in that I want this order cycle.

Do they have a door operated dome light?

I wish they had door locks. It slows them down from breaking into it when parked.

Anything i should know before I pick up my defender?

What are some of the add ons have you added? Plan on keeping the stock tires and wheels.

There is an LED dome light but it is not door activated.
On my Max Limited I added the 15 inch light bar to the front bumper. I also added the SuperATV turn signal kit and horn. Those two I had the dealer install.
After I got it I installed the fender flare kit.
If you are a hunter you might consider the two gun mount which installs under the front center seat. I got it from Snider Motorsports out of Amarillo, TX.
That is all I have done to mine other than putting a couple of Rubbermaid Action packer boxes in the bed.
Good luck with your machine and post pics when you get it.

I have had my 2023 Limited for one week and it's pretty awesome, like you I did the comparison with the Ranger Northstar and after researching it seemed to me that the Defender was a step ahead. I installed a rear bumper along with rear mudflaps and the Ryco turn signal/horn kit.

Make sure you have a dealer close that you can build a good relationship with.

I have a 23' Max that is having rust issues on the welds throughout. I having been working with BRP for 3 months on this and I do not think they are willing to correct the issue.
