Well simply out of curiosity I bought the new Yosh exhaust for my 1000 And I have to tell ya it makes the bike sound like a Harley ( spark arrestor removed lol) Had it at work today and moved it around outside and got on it a lil bit and the girl in the office came out and asked if there was a bike outside. It's got a great tone and it's not tinny sounding at all so far I am happy with this pipe I will do a video soon so you guys can hear it. Here are some pix of it installed!!

Can't wait to hear it!....did you notice any power gains? Or did you have to add a fuel controller?...and one last question, how loud would it be with the spark arrestor and quiet core in compared to stock?
I haven't really ridden it long enough yet to answer that question but it seems a lil more peppy brapping the throttle lol. I don't have a fuel controller cause they claim you don't need one but Ill prolly go with one since I have the spark arrestor removed. The pipe with the spark arrestor compared to stock is significantly louder and still sounds great. I would have to say sound wise its louder than muzzy and will give HMF a run for the money in sound comparisons. As for quality It appears to be built really well and for long term durability that is obviously yet to be tested.
I was hoping that it would be close to stock dbs because I want to be able hunt with it

Yeah prolly not the best choice for that! Unless you swap it back to stock for hunting season. Only takes 10 min.

Are these units able to be re-packed?

By the looks of it yes
Pretty much stock or not sound the deer are gonna hear you long before you even get close to them anyway.. I walk 150 yards or more from where I park and even that distance will still alert a deer.. My muzzy with spark and quiet core in is sorta close to stock.

Had the full hoshi system on my Commander, the construction and overall quality was very good. Anxious to hear the sound samples.
That is one nice looking quad you have. The gray and black tone look awesome. Will this work with a 650

Yup any of the G2 outlanders it will work with.
ive got it too, love the sound, build quality is top notch as you'd expect from Yoshi, heres 2 crappy cell phone vids of mine, the vids do not do it justice at all
I'm still a newbie to atving, but what is the spark arrestor and its purpose and why do some take them off

The spark arrester is there to keep a stray spark from the exhaust getting out of the tail pipe and setting dry woods on fire.

Taking it out reduces the restriction inside the muffler....possibly reducing the heat in the exhaust system. Also gives it a little better sound.

So to be clear, I buy an exhaust and if I want to change the sound up some I take out the arrestor, otherwise I leave it like it is when purchased and enjoy

You can take the one out of your stock muffler and try it out before you buy a new exhaust. You may not need to buy a new one.

I like the look of the yoshimura
Be sure to check your state regulations, as they may require a spark arrester in the exhaust.
Sweet I'll need to pick one up, always only ran yoshies on my 4stroke sport atvs. IMO the best built/performance and sounding pipe out there. Didn't know they made them for the outty
