Does the BUDS package you bought have a flow chart to tell you which conditions are needed for the coils to activate? Maybe the crank position is one of many other conditions that must be met before they activate.

They almost had to unload my ATV at the dealer with fork truck. Only 29 hours on ATV and the starter is done. It started up and I was able to drive off. It is still under warranty so I was having them look at shifter and put on Hand and Thumb warmer plus Track Module. They had no trouble at first with starter move it into shop and did work, mechanic went to move it out of work station and were going to phone me to come get it. But lucky for me it would not start and just click like it did on me. So new starter thanks to BRP and was only charge $110.00 for the labor for other work. Not bad I think. If anybody know these ATVs taking the starter out is not a nice easy job, whole left side comes off to get to the starter. Just want to add too, the Track Module did not take away my speed limiters.

 

Installed new crank position censor and that thing fires right up now. That was the problem.

Are you going to inform your dealership? Maybe they will cover the cost of the part at least since they weren't even able to diagnose that and fix it?
