OEM flip hard cost Windshield

Picked up a 2020 Defender XMR last month. Started looking at windshields and seeing how I have tires that will find all mud I figured getting the flip windshield would be a good call. I ordered it from the dealer at cost so that makes it a lot less painful. Only issue I am having is that I can’t find a single video/review on the OEM one.

Was wondering if anyone has had any experiences good or bad with it? Vibrations/rattles? How is the install being that I am going to do it at the house. Do I have anything to look out for or tools I may need that the average household wouldn’t have.

Any help is good help. New to the forum and looking forward to chatting with some can am owners.

If it's the same one as the one on the cab models, it's great. Driving through the woods we leave it up and only lower it when we have weather, When lowered, it seals tightly and provides lots of protection. About the only complaint is having to damn near stand up to reach the latch to close it.

Thanks for the response. I can deal with a pain shutting it every once in a while if it don’t annoy you while open or closed. I will be in the same boat as you keeping it open summer months and open winter time. It was about 4 degrees yesterday in New York where I am and I would have done anything for the windshield to be in and on my machine. So far I couldn’t ask for anything better. The XMR was a good choice.

It’s still very cold over in New York right now so I really haven’t been out riding with the window open as of yet. The window is still lower then the roof so I would think branches that you normally ride under would be fine. I got it mostly for a pit stop conversation with me sitting in the cab of the machine or letting it breath in there while I am out walking around. I would ride mostly with it a 1/4 of the way open before wide open regardless.
