I wonder if someone gets carried away with it on some machines at the factory. All the new defenders I have done have had it. I can take pictures sometime when I get a new one in to service but that will be awhile because of the shortage around here to get a new machine.
Plus it is all steel needle and ball bearings in his gearbox and none of them or the gears are that color.
If it's engine oil, is it possible that there is a leak between the engine and back plate for the clutch cover 🙄
From factory there's suppose to be anti-seize behind on the shaft where the helix goes 🙄🙄🙄
