So, to answer my own question, it is possible.



Two of the Linq line up, but the Linq connectors can't be used since they would have to be a bit longer.

Also, the four plastic molds under the box should be cut off, now the box sits flush and safe on the carrier.

I modded two Linq connectors so was able to send an M10 screw through it with a huge washer with locking nut under the carrier.


Then I drilled two M6 holes through the box and carrier for a long screw. Very firm and safe.



No holes visible, even if I take the box off.



Job done.

Seen you mentioned that your dealer said the XTP wasnt due to arrive for a couple of weeks..good to know. ive had 2 machines ordered and have been told 4 different arrival dates by my dealership down here in Oklahoma. Was the colored parts on the box, standard with that linq box? ive seen ones with a taillight on the back,but not painted the same color as the machine. Looks really good.

 

The colored box inserts was a factory option on the 124l box.
I don't really like the new G3 box, so super happy we can reuse the old boxes.

These XP-T's are so smooth, well worth the wait.
