Outlander 400 won't start

I just traded for a 2004 Can Am Outlander 400cc 4x4 for my banshee. It was a good deal because the only problem with the can am was that the carb was off and needed to be installed back on. I traded with the guy and installed the carb but it will still NOT start. All lights work, spark plug has spark, and the ATV it will crank but will never start. I looked through and found that the gas from the tank is not making it up the fuel pump. After I replaced the fuel pump, it still won't crank and gas still isn't going to the pump. I ran gas through the carb itself too try and fire it up but no luck...

The guy said it sat for awhile so i already cleaned the carb. Could it be the old gas? I already replaced the fuel tubbing and I don't see how the old gas would affect it moving through tubes. Should I try putting in new gas?

Someone help i wanna get it running again

Pull the carb apart and make sure the needle and seat aren't stuck. Try some starting fluid right in the carb to see if it will fire. IF that doesn't work, do a compression test.

what is the compression test?
Take out spark plugs, put in a compression testing gauge and test for enough compression to make it fire and run.
