Outlander 400 Max won’t crank

I have an ‘07 that hasn’t cranked since we swamped it in the lake. We were able to pull start it and after draining the clutch housing drive it away, but the starter appears to have gone away. Not even a click. Battery good and fully charged,
Can anyone suggest what might have happened to the starter when we swamped it? Or is it maybe totally unrelated and just a coincidence that it happened at that time?

There's a starter solenoid on your bike. It could've shorted out from the submersion. Just another electrical thing to check....
