Finally Got One

Just got my first 4x4 quad after some research ended up with

2011 Outlander 800 XTP in camo for hunting and like that the camo is a little better with light scrathes.

Have to add glad to be here after driving this only for a little bit I feel i made the best decision Can-Am is the way to go can't wait till break in is over so I can start stomping some other quads LOL:th_smiliethumbsup:

Thanks for the welcome

I'm really excited I love this quad it's so much fun and I haven't really done much with it only has 9 hours can't wait to start pulling logs out of the woods and going on rides and hunting. Already removed thermostat installed temp sensor and gauge and engine ice.
Fan controller is next :pi_sunglasses:

Well
Several people have mentioned that when the fan kicks on the engine is actually at a much higher temperature then it's normal operating range. So after some research I found that the thermostat is 150 degrees and the fan kicks on at 206 brings the temp down to 190 then shuts off. So in reality the engine is supposed to be operating around 150 but it's actually operating around 198 average. Now apparently the thermostat is so small that when it opens there isn't enough flow to properly cool the engine due to it's size. So several people are removing them and putting a fan controller on so the fan kicks on around 155 bringing it down below 150 and keeping the engine in the overall operating range that it's supposed to be in. That's my story I realize some will debate this which is fine and I may not be correct as I am still doing some research but I have installed a temp sensor and gauge from autometer and have verified these temps so I'll continue to play around I guess
