now that's funny also, i ripped a boot on my first ride out also!! put the ricochet skids on and never had a problem since then....lol one thing i have learned is that its the luck of the draw. sometimes you can go for years with no issues then you could get two ripped boots in one year.....who knows!!!???!?

 

I just wanted a bumper to keep low branches from breaking the lights and protect the front from kids backing into it. The old outlander had enough clearance so I'm holding off on skids until I need them.

 

ya i just have way worse luck than most it seems. i had all that armor and still had a big stick 2 or 3 inches get picked up by the tire, break through the fender about knee level and break through that and smashed my knee, ended up at the rear fender before i got stopped, the front inner fenders on that were all one piece and it cost over 300 bucks 10 years ago
