Handguards for sure. In single digit temps, the grips kept my palm warm but the wind on the back of the hand still chills it too much. I tried the cheap Kolpin style "mitts", but the arm hole was just too small. It's low temps, so I'm wearing a bulky warm coat with thick sleeves. I could run with thin gloves and lower grip-heat settings but every time I had to shift from reverse to drive, it was pain getting my hand back in. Plus, you gotta memorize switch location. PowerMadd makes some gauntlets that will work great with their handguards (stock Can-Am) that have huge openings except they are pricey on top of the cost of the handguards.

As for the rifle, I hated the standard gun boot style in the wheel well. Pain in the ass getting on around it, lots of extra expensive mounts, it would hit branches and it rattled so much I feared damage to the rifle optics. If you are just transporting it and don't need quick access, a quality hard case strapped down in the bed would be best. It's how I carry them in the truck, so they are easy to unload and transfer. That's how I do it from the truck parking to our camp. When traveling to our hunting spot, my rifle sits open in kolpin forks mounted to the front rack behind a Tamarack soft bag.

warranty extension for 42...what that run ya ?
Hello,

My name is Chloe Horst and I am the business manager at Blue Ridge Powersports located in Harrisonburg, VA. We are a powersports dealership that sells Can-Am, Honda, and KTM.

We are well known for our highly competitive pricing for Honda Goldwings. I have attached the link for the Honda Goldwing forum that talks highly of our prices to give you an idea. Extended Warranty

We took that momentum and branched out and offered more warranty coverages for other Honda power sport products. We are now expanding our services again. We NOW are offering heavily discounted B.E.S.T. extended warranties for Can-am BRP owners across the country. I guarantee that I will be able to beat the retail price that Can-am offers.

If you are looking for another warranty company to go with vs the B.E.S.T, we also offer other options that our service department works with daily.

If you would like a quote shoot me an email to [email protected] or give me a call at (540) 434-7345 extension 106 (finance). I look forward to hearing from you!!

I also offer free insurance quotes, these are great to have to compare to your current insurance company. When quotes are run through a dealership then you can get more discounts. - NO hard credit pulls, does NOT lock you into anything, I will email you the quote, which from there you can either choose to go with the quote or just delete the email, it is that simple.

Besides what has already been mentioned. I use one of these fender bags. Nice to have quick access for small things and the bottom bag I put my chain and tow strap for easy access when tugging buddies when stuck. I also fabricated a heat shield for my muffler area. I noticed when hauling out moose that the bed was getting pretty warm from the muff and didn't want that. Oh, and of course you have to make a custom shift knob! haha

Chloe, above..rocks! Get to your dealership and ask what the factory W is going to run ya..then let Chloe have at it ....she saved me !
Agree 100%, just picked up the 36 month extended warranty for about half the cost when compared to the AK stealership.

I run just the basic Kolpin rifle boot and universal mount. Has been solid so far. 4 u-bolts and thick rubber, doesn't move at all. Had to trim a little off the hitch receiver so it would fit, seems like most are too long to fit the can am mount. What a stupid design.

Did you install heated handgrips and wind deflectors for the back seat? I did on mine and my daughter really appreciates them.

Above are some pictures of my 6 wheeler after I put the accessories on it that I ordered with it.
28" Mega Mahems
Radiator relocate
Snorkel kit
2" lift pucks on all 6 shocks
Front bumper with extreme front bumper also
Bed protectors that act as a rear bumper as well
Rear winch
Wind deflectors/ hand guards
After one season of use I installed heavy duty front spring, Dalton clutch kit, and 1.5" wheel spacers on the 4 rear tires.
I run a plain Kolpin gun boot as mentioned above. No need to spend the extra on the Linq one unless you want to.
Don't waste your money on the can am storage box for under the bed. Its not a watertight seal on the lid and your things will get soaked.
