bought a pair a few weeks ago on Ebay from Honda east superstore..

or check here.. CAN-AM Outlander 650 800 Rear HPG Shock Kit with Springs: 715000305 Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Clothing, and Riding Gear - Honda East Super Store

The reason i went with Ebay instead of directly online from the dealer himself is that the shipping could "vary" and i would be charged afterwards if they decided the shipping would go up or not.On ebay the shipping was what it was.. no hassle.

Get them off ebay but from those guys..there called hondaeasttoledo

on Ebay.
Mine was 56$ Us for shipping

233$ + 56$ + maybe a little brokerage fees.. but nothing tyoo bad.. if ever.( i didn't get any and i'm in Canada)

I assume you already have the front if you're ordering the rear? If not, get all 4.. the handling is night and day after that.

Does 715000304 & 715000305 kits come with HD springs or the stock regulars? If HD, shouldn't you have gained height for the same setting!
I believe that I read somewhere that the springs that come with the HPG's are the max springs, so no need to order new springs.

Someone should be able to confirm for you.

I just put the fox podium BRP shock/spring on my 1000 and did not get any clearance, actually lost about 1/4 inch minimum. Much improved ride over bumps and uneven terrain.

I was wrong, again! The Front HD springs look about an inch shorter uninstalled and it's coil gauge is bigger.

My questions are for 2012 Max XT 800.
a) What is the P/N for the REAR Heavy Duty Springs only (does it exist?)
b) What is the P/N for the REAR HPG shock only
I know Regular Rear Spring & Rear HPG shock kit P/N is 715000305, so a REAR HPG shock exist.

2012 Max XT 800 Front - Heavy Duty
Heavy Duty Spring 715000306 $169.98 CAD pair (green yellow gold)
HPG Shock kit 715000303 $249.99 CAD pair ---> 197.99 UDS

2012 Max XT 800 Front - Regular
Regular Front Spring 706200822 $108.98 CAD pair (blue yellow gold)
Regular Front Shock 706201110 $166.98 CAD pair
Regular Front Spring & HPG shock kit 715000304 $304.49 pair
2012 Max XT 800 Rear - Regular
Regular Rear Spring only 706000652 $108.98 CAD pair
Regular Rear Shock only 706000792 $133.98 CAD pair
Regular Rear Spring & HPG shock kit 715000305 $299.99 pair
Are the REAR HD springs a secret? Thanks

When it is all said and done, the amount of time and money you are spending you might as well look at Crutchfields. For a little more you can have handling and GC better than with the HPG's. Check the classified and there were some on there for a decent price. I have had them on all my past outlanders and was happy I went that route. Check them out as Ed is a preferred vendor on this site.:th_smiliethumbsup:

The 5 minutes that it took me to do parts lookup on BRP wasn't a waist of time. I'm just trying to find out the p/n for a REAR HD springs. I agree with the quality & durability of the Crutchfields. I would go with the 2 stage which includes a HPG Bilstien & dual springs for $695.00 a set I think. To buy these, I may have to save up for a while or sell one of my kids, but WTH, the amount of time and money saved.........

Rather than hi-jacking this thread with promo, would you have any feedback on the BRP Rear HD Springs.

ChoPppps might be on to something. I’ve seen different springs, blue blue gold as well as blue yellow gold and I believe the front HD springs are thicker gauge & shorter. Thanks.

There are no HD rear springs that I am aware of, only fronts. The springs that come with the HPG shock kit are firmer than the stock ones but they are not the same as the front HD springs. I would double check with BRP about the HPG shock kits. I think those prices are for the pair, not per side. When I bought my Front HPG shock and spring kit, It was about $300 shipped for the pair.

Don't get all out sorts....I was not hijacking just giving another option you may consider. No promo intended just past experience. Now I will shut up.

I didn't notice any color code (although there may be one). The part# for the HPG FRONT SPRINGS (not HD front springs) are 706 200 468. I got this information from the front kit instruction manual. I have never tried the rears, so I can't comment on them.

Hello All,
I am new to the forum and have been reviews everyone's posts. I just installed the HPG kit on my 07 Outlander seeing incredible improvement. It now makes me want to do the tears. First questions is the kit 715000305 does that come with the max springs? Also would these springs be better then the stock ones? The stock is broken up into 2 separate springs and don't know if that is better or worse then one complete spring! Last thing is if I were to install the springs from 715000305 kit would I install them with tight coils down or up and reason. Thank you in advance.
