I would cover it. These machines are made for moisture and dirt, but still require regular cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance.

I would cover it with something. Even a cheap tarp garage is OK. I built a "bike port", just four 4X4 stilts with a tin roof structure above.

Tarps and covers can trap moisture under them and cause rusting 24/7, so if you do cover it, try to cover it so air can also pass thru it to keep the condensation and moisture out.

These will still rust anywhere the paint is broken or not painted like on welds etc.

Definitely cover it in some fashion.. alot of money to spend on a machine to just have it sit in the rain and be deteriorated by the sun.

I have mine sitting outside during spring, fall, and summer and only keep it inside during the winter because I plow it it. I have done this two years and have no issues at all with rust except a slight bit where the undercarriage hit a rock and its now bare steel.

If you have the money for a brand new bike spend the extra little bit of money and go to lowes and get their 300.00 metal shed. Will keep the weather off the bike and that way you dont have to worry about it.. My bike stays outside about a week once a year and thats for hunting season and even that makes me wanna cry.
