Paint Aluminum Rims

I'm not crazy about this look. I'm thinking the rims need to be black. If I paint them will the paint hold up? I'm okay with scratches from rocks, I just don't want the paint to all blast off when I hit it with the pressure washer.

You could spray them with plasti-dip to see if you like the look. It holds up fairly well and you can peel it off if you don't like it. If you want super durable get them powder coated.

Done that, it's great. You can do it for plastics too, if you're thinking about painting your atv.
Cool. What is plasti-dip and where do I get it?
If you don't mind a flat coat, I use this stuff I got at Home Depot, you can get Plasti Dip there as well, stuff I got is used as a spray on bed liner that's durable and doesn't scuff and peel like Plasti Dip, I used Plastic Dip on my truck wheels and I applied the recommended layers and it started to peel within a few months, specially during the cold weather then it just looks ghetto. The other spray I got has held up very well, only 2 coats and wheels look great, I actually used it to spray the aluminium rear bar on my Renegade and the front bumper and it looks so much better, just my $.02.

Rear winch, nice! Does the Bedliner product have a name?
Rust Oleum Professional Grade Truck Bed Coating

x2 on this.

I did this on my 09 to the stock aluminum wheels and it turned out great and help up super well. It is self leveling too, so you just spray on some thin coats and let it dry and you're good to go.
So Bliz, no special prep on the wheels before paint?
Not really, always good though to clean the wheels before you start spraying it, alcohol will help strip any contaminants.
