54" if you have to do sidewalks. Sidewalks are 48" standard. When you put the angle on the blade, it fits the width on the sidewalk exactly. 60" if all you are going to do is driveways.

On the 450... you WILL need some sort of pipe lift on the front springs. The front end will droop like crazy when you raise the plow.

No. Those are no good. With those installed. There is nothing to keep the top of the spring from shifting.


You want ones like this (see attachment). You can make them yourself with 1.5" PVC couplers, with a small piece of 1.5" PVC inside, toward the top. That will fit the 450 shocks perfectly. And don't worry. PVC WILL hold up just fine. You'd be surprised. Paint them black for a neater look. I did this before I got my new shocks and it worked great.

 

Ive got a 60'' plow on my 570 renegade. Works great! I would install the 450 max rear springs on the front of yours to keep sag in control. I did that on my last outy. Worked great.

 

I’m glad you brought up the spring swap. I have often wondered if rear springs would fit the front shocks. I would think the rear springs from a regular outty would make a huge difference alone.
