I noticed this on my '21 1000R X Xc as well man... I reached out to "
Motorsports Addicts" and he was able to answer a bunch of my questions on this topic... I think I'm going to pick up a
Dynojet Power Vision 3 so that I can run a custom tune (from Motorsports Addicts) on my currently STOCK machine...
Here are the benefits of the PV3 and the custom MA tune...
"Our standard tune:
- Adjusts fueling for your modifications (if equipped).
- Adjusts timing for your modifications (if equipped).
- Raises rev limiter.
- Raises speed limiter.
- Lowers fan temps.
- Refines throttle control (...and other little things you're not likely to notice.)."
When I asked how much it'd help a STOCK machine -- he was very honest w/me and said the main things you'll get out of a custom tune for the stock machine is the lowered fan temps, throttle control refinement, rev / speed limiter adjustments.
He said that as you (or, IF you) add modifications (like exhaust, etc.) you simply just reach out to them and they'll send you the new tune for your new specific parts installed). This way your machine will be running at optimal levels for however you currently have it setup.
Hope this adds a little more color to the convo.
