I wanted to know if anyone else had this kind of problem with their commander seats. Mine are wearing out on the sides, and tearing up thru the material. It really looks bad and this started to happen after my 6 months warranty. Did anyone encountered this type of issue too?

My buddy was the first of 4 of us to get the commanders. He had similar problem with the seat bottom. The outside edge like yours would rub against the side plastic of the bike. But it only does it when you are sitting and your weight pushes down and presses out the laterals of the seat bottom. Can am recovered his seats but had no answer as to why the plastics were rubbing on the seat. He ended up fabricating a bracket that pushes out the plastic a little bit to clear the seat when your sitting in it. The rest of us copied his bracket idea before any damage was done to out seats.

The dealer came good for the seats, well I guess BRP did, I received 2 bottoms seats complete with the plastic shell, and one seat cover for the backrest from the driver side. I ended up installing them myself, it's really not that difficult.

Seats Wearing Out
Glad to hear dealer came thru. This is from drivers side looking at pass side plastic. The round bar is what keeps you from falling out in a roll over.(I took my nets off). My bracket bolts to the bottom where that bar attaches to the bike. I think I had to put longer bolts. When we sat in our seats and looked down at the seat bottoms, they were rubbing the plastics. If you moved around in your seat it would rub more or less depending how you moved. We bent the bracket just enough to push plastic out beyond where it would rub. Similar bracket on drivers side.
