Service Question

For the 10 hour service, I know you are supposed to change the engine oil and the gear box oil. However, is it also recommended to change the front and rear differential oils as well?

I have a 2015 outlander 800xt.

Thank you in advance for the help!

I would highly recommend changing your diff fluid as well. All of those new metal parts are working themselves in and putting a lot of metal in the oil. Get it out and some fresh oil in. IMHO the most critical part of the break-in process.

What's this about the first 10 hours? I was told to bring mine in between 15-20hours for the initial service.
It's called a 10 hour service but most recommend not doing it before 20 hours including dealers.

I was recommended by my dealer to bring mine in at 25 hours. However, I changed my engine and gearbox oil at 10 hours myself.

But I wanted to check on what everyone thought on changing the differential oils as well, since this is not mentioned in the 10 hour service.

I noticed the other day that it wasn't in the book either. But it should definitely be done. Many people find lots of metal in the initial diff fluid change at 10-20 hours.
