Remove the plastic and see if any bolt came loose or somthing

Hi guys.
Something crazy happened with my already hard to shift 2013 Outlander. While plowing snow I reached down the shift into reverse and my shift lever was buried. I literally had the pull it straight up the get it to shift. Any thoughts on what's broke?

"Already hard to shift", that's a clue right there.
Check your shift linkage adjustment and one way bearing lube. Multiple threads on these issues in this forum.
