I guys, i'm pretty new with the cam am... I owned multiple snomobiles, seadoo, motorcycle but i have only one ATV wich is an kingquad 700 2007. I'm planning on buying a used Renegade 2012-2013... i'm looking for a 1000 base model since the xxc is around 2500$ (new) more than the base and that it's mostely the suspension the big difference... I'm i right to go with the base model? I'm not planning doing any huge jumping etc.. mostly trail riding and a bit of mud.. So is the base 1000 Renegade is the way to go? Thanks a lot!

Always go with the biggest and best you can afford...Another thing to consider is that the base model doesn't have power steering...After having one with and one without. I couldn't go back to without it....It makes a big difference especially if you get bigger tires, which most do...
The suspension is worth every cent imo, just check this forum loads of ppl buying basemodel and a month after a thread pops up "What shocks should i buy?"
IS THE POWER steering was on the 2012-2013 models.... or it came later?? As for the suspension... i'm not convinced that i cannot find a better shock for a resonable price if i really want to..?!?

x2 You are already a motorhead/power junkie, I spent more now in upgrades than I would have if I bought the better model. I could live without power steering when I was younger, but not now. Also the added benefit is less chance of injury with power steering because it eliminates bar whip when you graze an object.
The upfront cost of the XXC is half the cost of upgrading it piece by piece later on. Buy the XXC and ride it!
regardless of the model, get the 1000. If you get the 800 you'll always think "shoulda got the 1000" but if you get the 1000 you'll never ever say "shoulda got a smaller one" ;)
biggest, bestist, mostest .........the 1000

ouaisss, that's for sure I'm getting the 1000... and i'm looking for an xxc too for the power steering as I know some are hard to steer... i don't have that problem with my old King quad as it's one of the lightest steeering among all atvs... So i'll look for a used 2012-2014 XXC 1000 I guess... thanks a lot guys... Keep posting your opinions thx
