STI Outback Max Tires 30x10-14 on my 2013??

Has anyone installed the STI Outback Max 30 x 10 x 14's on their XMR 1000? I have a 2013 and am looking at buying these however; I have some concern with clearance on the front because the STI's are 10 wide and more of a squared off tire. My XMR is stock and I plan to install these tires on the ITP SS312 wheels that came on the quad.

Its not enough extra width to worry about

I decided to go with the 28's for two reasons.

First reason - I was sure 28's would fit. I actually don't think 30's would have cleared my skid plates. I forgot to mention in my post that my ATV does have the Poly Iron Baltic skid plates. These are thick and they wrap up into the front wheel well area. If 30's would have cleared them it would have been very close.

Second reason - Weight, compared to the Siverback's the 28" STI Outback Max are only one pound heavier.

When it was all said and done I have to say these 28's look fantastic on the quad. Inflated they are not much smaller if any than the 30" Silverbacks.

I will post pictures of the quad and front wheel clearance.

Hey Smoke244 how do you like these tires (ride, wear, mud, etc.)?? I have a 2016 1000 outty xmr and I was looking into getting these tires for mine and I had the same concerns as you with what size, weight difference, clearance, etc. The 28's on yours look good and makes me want a set. Did you lose ground clearance by downsizing to a 28" outback max compared to 30" silverbacks? Let me know your input would be greatly appreciated.

The stock 30" silverbacks only measure about 28.5".

Hey guys.. Sorry, I'm a little late to the party. I have a 2013 Xmr Outlander 1000 and I put 30x10x14 STI Outback Max tires on about 6 months ago. I FREAKIN LOVE them. Waaaayyyy better than the silverbacks. Especially on the hard packed trails, but these are still awesome in the mud. I trimmed the rear of the footwells a little... didn't need to, but it was close but still cleared. I trimmed them so that the mud and rocks didn't bind-up and beat the corners.

Put a set of 28-10-14s on my 2017 xtp 1000 a few weeks who and i love these Tires more than any other mud tire I’ve ever ran. With my fox shocks and some Rubberdown spacers adjusted about 3/4 preload they fit perfect with no trimming. I did however do a little trimming just for worst case scenario and mud but I’m sure with the little bit of trimming I did and crank the shocks up a bit more I could fit 30s no problem... Also mounted them on a set of msa m12 wheels
