Strange Multifunction Gauge Info

Hi I'm in New Zealand and new to the forum. Some great info many thanks. I can't solve a strange problem on my 2018 HD8 Defender.
The gauge seems to have gone into a different mode that I can't exit. It seems to be recording Lap times and providing summary stats. Please see attached some photos of what the gauge is showing as I scroll through it. Any suggestions or remedies would be really gratefully received.

The first thing I do when I am having those type of electronic problems is to disconnect the battery for at least 5 minutes and see if that will reset it.
From your discreption it sounds like your selector switch is allowing you to switch between those screens, is that right?

That's the second thread now we've seen on that strange behavior..... no idea how/why a Defender would be interested in recording lap times lol

Lemme see if I can find that other thread

It's interesting that both the machines are from overseas (New Zealand & Australia ). I wonder if their programing is a little different than ours in the US.

Yes, thanks, it allows me to toggle through the screens. Also by switching the lights on and off (as per manual to erase the "Maintenance Required" message) it seems to allow me to reset and restart the timer, I think this is changing the lap number. Grateful for any info.
Reading the other posting about this issue, apparantly the failure of the gauge unit is pretty common in Australia, have you talked to a local dealer about this?
I'm betting the electronics are used in other "faster" machines so both versions are programmed. Completely rebooting the system is my advice to. Disconnect both batt cables and ground them to each other to bleed off every capacitor in the system just to make sure.

OK, will try that. Many thanks. Have disconnected the positive battery lead for 5 min and still the same. Have talked to local agent and they suggest I need a new gauge! Yeah right.
