Hey guys I was just writing to let everyone know that's having the charging problems with the 06-09 Rene's and outy 800s can am has superseded to the new bigger staters automatically, so that means if you go and order a new stator you get the new bigger one that's suppose to fix the charging issues according to the can am dealer

What about the flywheel, rectifier, & extra oiling hole that goes along with the bigger magneto?

This stator bolts right up as factory does with no mods according to the dealer just ask for the model 16 stator

It'll bolt in, but the flywheel, oil hole in crank, and rectifier is different. Flywheel won't fit over the larger stator either.

According to the dealer it's not bigger in size it's just bigger in output If you go in to any dealer and order one now you can't get the older model stator anymore unless it's something they have on the shelf other then that if you order a new one it's gonna be the new updated one

The flywheel won't fit over the high output (650 watt) stator, so you must upgrade the flywheel.
The high output stator requires a larger rectifier, so you must upgrade the rectifier.
The high output stator has cooling thru the crankshaft, so you must upgrade the crank, for the oil cooling.
Not as simple as swapping out the stator. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't quit making the 420 watt stator, and require everyone with a 420 watt stator that goes bad to spend thousands of dollars upgrading all those parts, just because their stator went out. They made the 420 watt stator as late as 2014, no way they quit making replacement parts for machines as new as that.
