Was looking at the specs of the 850 and 1000 xtp max and was wondering where the 26lb weight difference comes from?

Also any major differences in the 850 motor and 1000 other than the bore?

Looked some stuff up but still can't pinpoint the get difference. As for the motor they have different bore and stroke. 850 larger bore 94mm with the same stroke as the 650 and the 1000 91mm bore and larger stroke.

Ive looked up just about every part I could find and they are all the same other than the crankcase, crank, connecting rods and pistons.
I also noticed that the 850 is supposedly 47lbs heavier than the 650 which even uses the same crankcase and crank as the 850 .

It is pretty random what they use the big gear box in. It is in the xmr 1000s and then some of the xxc, the 6x6, the commander, and some foreign models.

Then depending on the parts schematic you look at the regular 1000 has it and some don't.

20 litre of "regular" gasoline weight ~14,2kg or 31lb.
Usually i fill about 15L so ~10,7kg or 23,5lb.

Me too... Im curious what will 26lb meant for using machine?
Heck I have pretty much ALL option on my ride. Last thing I have think how much "my ride" has gain weight ;) ... I have never have any problem with extra front weight = Actually it has work better with heavy "wood" trailer towing..
