Wet foot wells

1770 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Coldmechanic
I got 2015 outlander max xt with the 800. I find the right foot well is like a hose when going through water. It seems to spray up though where the brake pedal is. Anyone came up with any fixes? I don't want to be wearing rubbers every time I ride.

Thanks

Mitch

I have skid plates so there is no significant rush of water (unless intentional), but mine is a 2007. Maybe things have changed.
Das da way day are by'e. I don't ride without rubber gumbys.

Haven't noted any excessive water spray up through my floorboards. Also have the aluminum skids, so perhaps that helps.

Without aftermarket skids it's like a water hose coming up through the brake pedal.
Cut a piece of plastic (crazy carpet) to fit over the opening and attach from the underside of the foot well. Screw/pop rivet to the platform.
I found a piece of foam stuffed in there worked well also. I have the BRP skid plate and it still shoots water up when you hit a water hole just the right way, or would that be just the wrong way.
Yes just like a water hose. Ordering skids tomorrow. Need them anyway. If that doesn't stop it I'll have to cover up the holes.
