Want to get a belt to keep in my bags for a backup should I pay the insane price for a brp one or are the other Dayco ones just as good? Granted if I were to use the belt it would probably stay on the machine and would buy another backup

If your looking for a more affordable option than the BRP belts then I would get a Gates Carbon C12 belt, its the best non OEM belt out there and around half the cost.

SlimTim is right on the money. I put a gates on and am using my stock belt as a backup. Get the carbon NOT the Kevlar.

The squeel is a belt. The clacking is the clutch

The noise in the vid is not the belt. How could it be the belt when it's the same belt in both comparisons? Besides the clanking from the stick primary, the noise you hear is coming from the bearing in the transmission. With the stock secondary, the spring pushing on the helix puts a side load on the bearing in the trans, and it doesn't like it.

The Rev X and STM cost me $1,575.

Im not here to disagree with you. Mine was squeeling on both of my Canams, changed to Gates, all good now.
