Im looking at buying a used 2018 with 240 miles on it or a brand new 2019. What all has changed? They look identical and finding info is difficult. All i have found is a change to rear suspension and front sway bar? Have read were some were saying the transmission got tweaked a bit. So drop me the skinny on what all changed. Would help this purchase out greatly.

What i said in my op is whats on their site. Theres always hidden things that change thats not in ads that the community knows about. They may say the suspnsion is better but the riders can say yeah or hell no buy an older one. Thanks for your contribution.

I would NEVER buy a mud machine that is slightly used. Typically they are sold with low miles because someone swamped them. I would not even take that risk unless it was a $5,000+ savings. Anything less and you can't afford to rebuild the engine if it needs it.

Great point Deadman. However it's a possibility the 2018 prior owner traded it in for good reason. I'd buy the brand new machine if it were me.
Yeah the thing is spotless but that doesnt mean it hasnt seen a mudhole. Dealership said previous owner bought it took it on a weekend trail ride and traded it in for a polaris soon after. Said it rode too rough and his back couldnt handle it. Yes it is at a considerable discount. Dealer told me to come ride it a while before i decided to purchase it because he didn't want another customer having a bad experience.

2019s have

Wider stance 2”
Front sway bar
Electronic throttle
2 more hp at 91
Change in power steering motor
Arched a arms
Dual rate rear springs in rear

That’s what I know on my xmr 1000 Renegade, could be more, also being sold at a lower price point, I think all models have come down a bit in 2019, and all models got a hp bump

Look CLOSELY at the engine on the used machine. If the engine Is "golden brown" colored then you know its been in the mud. My 2012 has never been in deep and the engine cases are still shiny silver color. If they are golden brown, that immediately tells you they were in the deep mud when it was hot.

Another real question, since the previous owner and dealer said it rides like crap, do you really want a quad that rides like crap? Just curious, because I enjoy the comfort of my XXC suspension. remember after a long day of riding, your ego of riding an XMR will not outweigh the lack of comfort.
