I was told to stick with 25" tires if i wanted to keep the power that i currently have, Which is obvious. But if i go up to 26", Just how much power will i loose?
Right now it will lift the tires in high, on cement.

I don't do much mud stuff. Mostly fast trail riding.

So stick with 25" or bump up to the 26"

25" trail wolfs are truly 25.6 and 26" tires are usually small depending on manufacture. IMO you won't lose anything as true size and weight difference will be minor. I will swap to 27" meyhems as soon as funds are available. They will only be about a true inch larger. (1/2" taller)

i went to 26 inch tires with no problem. i didn't notice any power lose but i got some light tires also.
funny you mentioned that because i drove a 2014 xmr650 and my 570 had way more balls than the 650xmr but alot of that was due to the tires on the xmr.
if you want your power to not drop i wouldnt go over 26 inch tires

have 27 inch mayhems on my rhino, they are a great tire but they are real heavy. thats the biggest concern for someone who wants to keep their speed, so a light tire would be best wether it ends up being like a act or 489 or something you have to compare weights. even in the act 26inch is like 20 lbs but the act hds are 30+. anything over low 20 lbs will really suck alot of power

favorite mod for me is the bumper and side covers from a xp, they are way too open, tires and programmer will have to be next spring, already spent too much this year

jwfirebird, how hard was it to get the Xt bumper on an L? i thought i read they wouldnt fit. Thats why i got the LE bumper. Also where did you get the side covers? My radiator got a little muddy last ride and overheated mine. Thanks

the bumper wasnt a huge deal, but there are no lower mounts, you have to be able to weld a support on the bars that go behind the grill. i have a welder and have built a bunch of things, so far me it wasnt a big deal. the le bumper doesnt cover enough so i wanted to get that one.

the side covers i got off ebay used, i think you can get them new for like 30 bucks, just look up any g2 xt that has oem parts, or dealer should be able to get them

Kenda bearclaw htr's. Great all around tire and 8 ply. Love mine. There are some great threads on here about this tire and the big horns.
Ordered my inner fenders from www.canampartsnation.com
Here's a great video review for the tires https://youtu.be/zI-LXQX3SF4

nope was, being pulled in a different direction and needed to get it done. i will try to remember next time i have the covers off.

could have been better, i didnt have time to make it bolt on, i just welded a piece of l channel between the bars and to the bumper. maybe this winter after riding season i will cut that off and make some bolt on mounts but i didnt see how i would do that without taking the whole front grill and stuff off
