I am looking to get back into the trail riding scene,my last 2 atv's have been 2up outlanders. My wife really likes the SxS comfort.we are starting to look really hard at the commander and maverick.we would just be going to Hatfield and McCoy trails and similar trails. My question is other than price why did you go with the commander?

I went with the 1000 only thing I didn't like was the heat in the cab so I did exhaust wrap and a guy on commander forums sold a consel cover and that helped a lot , no problems so far only have 2500kms on it

I would have to be crippled to want a SxS. They slow groups down, can't fit on some trails, are dangerous to ATV's going the opposite direction, etc. I wish there was no such thing.
I tried one in Arizona while on vacation with the family. Was a way to get the whole family out and was really fun to scare the living **** out of my wife and kids, it was not very fun at all and wished I had my ATV the entire time.

That is exactly what I alsways thougt about them in the past,I have never driven one in the trails.Thats why I'm hesitant to buy one and wish I hadn't bought one.

1000X, it was the only compromise between sport and utility. dump bed, storage, and boss on the trails. 1000 b/c anything smaller didnt make any sense.

Especially when I come up on a group of ATVs b/c I'm so much more dangerous then they are, I can see them shake in fear.
