Uh-oh...I am in the market for a new machine, to replace my totaled renegade 500...I have had two 500 Scramblers and loved em...looks very interesting!

Looks good in the video, Fox suspension and race tuned exhaust very nice. Even has racks, 10.25" suspension travel . No weight posted yet.
Looks very performance oriented and if they dropped the weight down it should fly with the 850 HO.

My first impressions was wtf it's ugly. But moving in the video it does look better.
Don't think it will win any beauty contest for sure.

I knew you'de say that, LMAO.
I think it's great the manufacturers keep shooting higher every couple of years. Makes it interesting. We don't even have a Polaris dealer here so it will be awhile before we see one on the trail.

But it only weighs 735 pounds compared to the 687 of the gade 1000.

Atleast popo is still king of the Heavyweight division

I don't believe Can Ams claimed weights are that accurate. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Renegade dry weight was well over 700 lbs. I think weight difference is a wash. Renegade still has the extra 5 hp but it all depends how the power is put to the ground through the transmission and clutch.
I have the 850 non HO @72 hp and there is not that much difference in speed with my 1000, I don't care what you guys say. I've raced them both and own both. The non HO Polaris actually has slight edge in top end but still about a quad length back in 300'.

Here are some differences between the sportsman 850XP and scrambler 850Ho. 38 lbs lighter, 1" less ground clearance, seat height 2" lower.

Limited Edition model extras over base: Scrambler 850 stealth black, priced $11,999
Fox Podium® X Shocks
Electronic Power Steering (EPS)
Digital Gage
LED Lights
Hand guards Matte black
cast aluminum wheels

Polaris coming after the 'gade.....

Image

:umno:

Looks like a XP that went between a pair of trees about 2' too narrow at speed.....then they fixed the suspension & called it close enough. Only 60lbs lighter than a sportsman too......

Seems like popo might at least keep up with the gades' dust now, and said dust should hide some of the fugly........:thumbsmilie:

Yes it does. But the red bumper and trim ruins the look. Needs flat black powder coat. I am going to go look at one this evening at my dealer, as I just got the insurance check for my totaled Renegade 500. $6110.92 I am still blown away how easily my Renegades frame bent. Anyway, I think with the PS, my wife would love it. And its a lot more affordable than an 800Xxc. I had two 500 scramblers in the past. they were well built machines.
