I have ridden Poo Poos in the past but never wanted one. The friends that had them had to replace something on them almost every week. I will have to say, other than frames breaking I can not complain about my Can Ams. Plus, that issue can be fixed for the price of some metal and a few hours of welding.

I would have to see how these new Poo Poos hold up before I jump ship for their 4 wheeler. Their RZRs are not hardly as bad but I do go through a lot of wheel bearings and a-arm bushings.

I think it looks better without that big tall ugly bumper. I do like the feature of being able to at least carry something small on the front. I could use that to carry something light like a rain suit or coat.

the front end looks like it got smacked with a cast iron pan or something...lines just dont work for me, but it does look better in motion. Not enough weight difference to separate it from the sportsmans though imo...something lighter weight would have been nice

The spec sheet don't look so good. I can't wait to make one eat some roost.

The Renegade is definitively meaner looking than this thing.

What's up with that ugly pod on the handle bars?.....The whole thing is ugly anyways.

It's only a matter of time till I meet up with one on the trails and the second I do, we're lining up! and I always have my GoPro. I do like the fact somebody is stepping up to the plate to compete against the Renegade. Competition between companies is awesome! The only real winner is the customer, as these companies keep upping each other we are left with these awesome toys...... I would just be great if KTM would bring a 4x4 quad to the market.....

They will sell a ton of them! Polaris always prices thier bikes right too. To the unsuspecting consumer who does not visit forums will buy it for looks and power.

It has that naked street bike look. Like the Ducati Monster look.

It does have some pretty cool accessories like a full size rear rack and LED headlights...... Can-Am has a frame bracket kit. lol

this unit would still have problems the the GEN1 canam 800's much less the 1000's. high speed front end handling (both in and out of the corners) on the XP chassis is HORRID and will rip your arms out of their sockets and tells you why its EPS only.

i will have report as soon as one gets to my work... :D

OK, up close and personal it Bugly, Fugly etc. I thought I could get past its looks. However, I am not sure what the hell Polaris was thinking when they made this machine. Until I saw it in person, I thought it was cool. It is not. It may be less expensive than a CanAm, and offer more for the money. But jeez. I would rather pay more for less than own one of these machines. (based on appearance only) I just can't get past the snub nose front end. It looks like it hit a wall at 60 mph. If I was in charge at Polaris, I would fire everyone responsible for this design. And then fire myself for letting this make it into production. Like I said in earlier posts, I had two 500 Scramblers. they served me well and looked great. No wonder the new scramblers are so cheap...Discounted prices, 500 rebate etc. nobodys buying them. I was hoping to get a nice ride for my wife, with the EPS and all. But I cannot buy one of these machines. Hey, it may be a great machine, but its so totaly unnatractive. So it will be a 2012 renegade 500 for her. And that IS a VERY nice ride. Just no EPS.

I personally like it and will probably pick one up...But a few things will need to be changed, like adding the front brush guard and coming up with screen for the grill area...and I cant believe nobody has said anything about those ape hanger handlebars, those will have to go for sure.

Its great for competition, I am sure it will grow on most, there needs to be someone other than can am, out there pushing the sport riding utility segment, the looks leave a little to be desired imo, but it will be interesting to see how they work in real world riding situations

Automatic 4wd.... No thanks! Why would anyone want a sporty high performance quad that you couldn't leave in 2wd and lay out sideways at every possible corner? And yes it is fugly

You can switch between 4wd and 2wd...it just doesnt use 4x4 until it needs it in when in 4wd mode.

well i like to say the same but when all you do is lighten up a sportsman and put good shocks on it not my idea of race machine,i was thinking of a aluminum frame utility race machine kinda like a bad ass sport quad thats 4wd with long travel suspension etc,if they could make a 80hp 4wd at 600lbs that would be alot of fun

I don't know, the looks....maybe in real life it will look hot. Kinda like the new Gade, in pics it wasn't so sharp, in real life it looks much better. Certain aspects of the Scrambler LE are very sharp lookin, hot even. I recall quite a few Can Am-ers saying the new Gade (even Outty) looked way gack in promo pics/video before they saw it in person.

Judging solely from the promo videos, both Gade and Scrambler, it appears the Scrambler seems to handle more like a utility and the Gade appears to handle more sporty like. Maybe it's the Scrambler video being on a trail local vs the desert local for the Gade video but the Gade seems more nimble.

My brother just picked up his new scrambler 850 , thing is not slow lol , we found a nice mud puddle so we lined up the XmR (few mods) and the scramble (stock) , I had the deep end lolwith some good tires the scramble wont do to bad I think . renegades are no joke but theses scrablers are going to give it a run for its money .

Cool man, thanks, where ya from?

What is the power to weight ratio for the new Scramblers and then also the Rene 800 and 1000?

I would be down for a ride as well, I am an hour+ West of the Metro as well. Yea, in the video it seemed as though when the scrambler would get on throttle even with little throttle the power was right there in the low end, would make it very fun to drive. Also the small amount of bumps it did hit (mainly the time it crossed over the ruts on the camera side of the hole) it seemed to really soak up those bumps nicely. No doubt i bet it is a nice wheeler. =)

Where ya'll go to ride? Must have some good places huh? Been so dry for so long until recently and not enough private land to have fun round here, have to trailer every where for me. No trails within an hour and only mud is on private land. Ditches and gravel roads for me, that's why i use Bighorns in the summer, and am hoping for lots of snow so i can put my OL2's to good use, lol

lmao.. you tryin to compare your xmr to the 850? you did nt know the top speed of the xmr is limited to like 55 or something like that... its a mud machine not a cross country machine... its clutched for slower mud riding, not trying to drag race anybody.. if you want to do that get a renegade....

oh ..ok i see your racin thru mud, not drag racin.. and your comparing a stock 850 popo to your xmr in the mud race... two different machines... you probably should get thru the mud better ( video does not show that.. the scrambler does better ) but the scrambler is a sport machine.. go race it in a drag race and tell me the outcome and then race it in a cross country track and tell my who comes out ahead...your comparing two totally differnet bikes.. even the comments that where left under the video agree on what im sayin...

Yeah the xmr are limited ar 61 not 55, but a programer takes care of that problem, Xmr is a mud rig for sure but My Xmr pulles easy from the scrambler at the line but scrambler dose smoke me after about 50+ lol , as far as the video as u can see the xmr was in a bit of a deeper hole lol scramblers are fast he got some mods done now see what it really can do . Ill put some new videos up .

I just find it funny these can am guys are comparing a 1000 to a 850 that weighs more and price difference is funny considering the 1000 only beats the 850 by half a bike length and turns more rpms in order to do so that just goes to show which one is more superior. its just sad that yall paid so much more for half a bike length. We all see which company is laughing the hardest and shaking their head right now.

#79 ·
Yup, we paid more only for a half a bike length and no other reason, lmao, moron.
