2019 Outlander 450 without DPS ~ is the lack of DPS a dealbreaker?

Hello all. New here.

I am looking at a 2019 Outlander 450 with 292 miles (only one hunting season) and includes a Black Boar rear storage box ($185), a gun/bow holder, and rain cover, being offered at $4500 obo.

This would be for my wife, who is more than I deserve through and through. However, she quite small and does not have a large amount of muscle mass.

So 2 questions:

If I find no mechanical or cosmetic flaws on inspection of this bike is this a good price?

And would power steering (DPS) be need for for her to enjoy ridding this bike? If yes, does anyone have experience adding this on after market?

Thank you,
David

does it have a o2 sensor in the exhaust? You may want to find out if the ECM recognizes the fuel trim in it. Mine did not and I would get check CEL on it. this seems to just effect 450 with o2 sensors in 2018 and I'm not sure if its the same in 2019

The price is excellent. I have a 2019 570 Max. My first bike with power steering - always figured it was just a "nice to have but un-necessary".

Now I would "never" go back. It really makes that much of a difference. But considering you would have to double the asking price of this one to get a dps equipped the same way you gotta ask yourself is power steering worth the "few" extra grand?

My dealer has lent me a new hunter 570 with DPS. My 450 without DPS has been in the shop for 2 months and a week. I bought it new in May 2019.
My 12-year-old son rides the 450 with no problem. However, the DPS on the 570 sure is nice. I also have 26x9 tires on the front of the 450, wider than stock.
Nylonguy, mentioned the O2 sensor on the exhaust. If you have it, it is a California atv. There have been problems with these vehicles and they do not know how to fix the issue. That is why mine is still in the shop. If the warranty has run out on your ATV and you have this problem, you are screwed. Mine is still under warranty.
You might want to find out why the guy wants to sell it with less than 300 miles on it.
