Can am clutches

Hey I blew a belt on my 1000. It melted the ring on the inner case by the secondary clutch. Had the pull the secondary off to get the rest of the belt out. Put it back together right to my knowledge. I followed all the steps on some videos. Slid it on. Held the helix while turning the outer part 20 degrees and torqued it down. Secondary opens just fine put the new belt. I started it up moved it back and forward. Also noticed in neutral and park sometimes both clutches were spinning. Idk if that is normal or not. Closed it up. Went on a little drive seems bogged down. Like 5000 rpm’s at 17 mph. Also my neutral and reverse make the machine go forward sometimes. And in park it feels like it trying to go forward a time or to. Don’t know what I did wrong any help would be appreciated. And if anyone knows of some good shops near crossville Tennessee that don’t charge and arm and leg please give me details. Thanks in an advance.

Like CMB said, did you check the one way bearing ?

Did you remove the primary clutch ? I have seen parts of cord get stuck inside.
Also important note, if your secondary has a bolt, it's a TTY and one time use only. If you have the stud version, manual says to replace the one nut and locktite it. The primary bolt can be re-use.
Make sure to torque to specs 😉

It has the stud for the secondary. And I believed i torqued to specs but not sure. I did not take the primary off but I will open it back up and check for parts of the belt in it again. And no I did not check the one way bearing. Where would that be at. I’m very new to canam and cvt clutches all together

Oh yea - the good old one way.

It is a serviceable bearing in between the 2 primary sheaves. It needs to be serviced every so often. I've tried other greases and the iso lasts the longest.

It's worth picking up a clutch holding tool. A block of wood works but can be cumbersome. IMHO

The bike will shift much easier when correctly serviced.

I took it to a shop. There was belt material in the primary. They cleaned it out and said it was fixed. But it still runs high rpm’s and act weird like I went to unload it and put in reverse. It went forward and shattered my back truck window. Sorta pissed rn.
