Clutch lock up mod

New to the Canam. Hear lots about their clutching being no good. Haven?t had an issue with my xmr 850 with the dalton kit.

My question is is the clutch lock up mod still a thing? Seems like a good upgrade but there?s not talk about it after like 2015 lol.

Does this also work on a 08 renegade 800?
So the lockup is $225 and then you need a Dalton spring kit for $225.... so that's $450
