I'm well aware I'm just not sure why you wouldn't want engine braking?

Engine Braking is the most annoying feature on my Quad. When I replaced my primary it had no one way bearing engine braking was still there just not as much & freewheeled 7MPH & lower when I replace my secondary, STM has a option for the helix for even less engine braking its so much more enjoyable to ride.

 

Which one are you guys buying, Cvtech or Cvtech HD?

And are you eliminating the one way bearing?

I'm well aware I'm just not sure why you wouldn't want engine braking?

 

I'm pretty sure it's solely for racing or fast trail riding. Coasting through instead of having to feather the throttle to prevent braking. Hours of that I'm sure gets old. I have talked with some gncc guys a few year back and I think that's what was told to me.

Leave the bearing in place just remove both springs & pins.

it depends on your riding if you need / want a 1 way bearing. i ride alot of trails / rocks/ hills/ mud. There are times i hate the 1 way on the can-am its way too aggressive while flat trail riding. I added a 1 way on my arctic cat and it is perfect. holds the machine back going down steep hills and while on flat ground you dont even notice it. You let of the throttle with the can am it feels like you go from throttle to breaks. it wakes you up when your not expecting it. Its unfortunate that with the steep hills i ride i love the 1 way and don't want to remove it, But other riding i wish it was gone.
